I am pleased to offer Telehealth services as a part of my regular psychology practice. I had been conducting sessions online prior to the coronavirus pandemic and am pleased to continue to offer these services in order to protect the health and safety of my patients and our community.
Teletherapy allows me to connect with patients to provide an easily accessible option for obtaining quality psychological care from the convenience of a private location such as your home or office. Telepsychology services allow patients to meet with me via a secure video site in real-time. I use a HIPAA-compliant site that is easy to access and requires no downloads or complicated technology. Online video therapy is now covered my most major insurance carriers including Medicare, which allows you to use your benefits to obtain services.

Frequently Asked Questions About Telepsychology
How does your system work?
Once we schedule an appointment, I will send you a link to my Telehealth site along with a password to access the site. You will sign in to the virtual waiting room and I will click to start the appointment at our scheduled time.
Do I need special apps or software?
No need to download software or create an account. Just use a browser on a computer or device with a camera and microphone.
Is the site secure and private?
Yes. All data is encrypted, your sessions are anonymous, and none of your information is stored. The site I use adheres to HIPAA, PIPEDA, and GDPR data privacy requirements.
Do you ever see patient using Teletherapy and in person visits?
Yes. Telehealth offers flexibility and convenience, which is a wonderful benefit. However, there are times when patients prefer to come in for an in-person session. Patients are always welcome to make an in-person appointment in my office.
Are the session lengths different for Telehealth appointments?
No. All in person and telepsychology sessions are 50-55 minutes in length.
Do you see patients who live outside of California via Telepsychology services?
I am licensed in the state of California, which allows me to see patients living in the state via Telehealth. Unfortunately, that license does not travel across state lines so I am not usually able to see patients who reside outside of California. However, some states are making exceptions to the licensing regulations due to the pandemic. Therefore, if you are a patient interested in services and you live in another state, please contact me to discuss options.
